No Gift Policy Activity

The MSU Uniquest organized a “No Gift Policy” activity to instill values of ethics, morality, and integrity in work practices. This initiative aims to prevent corruption and misconduct among administrators and staff at all levels within the university, fostering confidence in the public administration system.

On March 14, 2024, at the Uniquest meeting room, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teerayut Chatchanayin, alongside the office personnel, the event aimed to advance national reform activities, promote transparency within the organization, and establish a culture of integrity in official duties. The office announced a policy prohibiting all administrators, employees, officials, and personnel from accepting any gifts or gratuities in the course of their duties during any festive occasions or special events.

Subsequently, a declaration of commitment to integrity in the administration of Mahasarakham University was made to the public, stating that the management team, employees, officials, and personnel of Uniquest would perform their assigned duties to the best of their abilities under the principles of good governance to prevent corruption and misconduct. The declaration included the following commitments:

1. Strict adherence to government rules, regulations, and directives.
2. Execution of duties based on principles of good governance.
3. Honest performance of duties, free from corruption, without seeking undue benefits from their positions.
4. Promoting and instilling values and attitudes among personnel to understand, adhere to ethical principles, and recognize the dangers of corruption, leading to a corruption-free university.
5. Encouraging external audits and public participation in the oversight of university operations by disclosing information on all activities.
6. Conducting investigations and imposing severe penalties on those found guilty of corruption.

The policy on integrity and transparency aims to ensure that the administrative operations of Mahasarakham University are transparent and free from corruption, in line with the 2017 Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, which emphasizes adherence to constitutional, legal, and rule-of-law principles for the common good of the nation and the well-being of its people. This aligns with the national strategy on preventing and combating corruption and misconduct in the public sector. The policy includes the following points:

1. Transparent public administratio.
2. Responsible public administration.
3. Corruption-free public administration.
4. Cultivating an integrity culture within the organization.
5. Ethical public administration.
6. Effective internal communication within the organization.
